2009 PCA National Championships - change in Senior SJ & Senior Eventing heights

New South Wales will play host to the 2009 National Pony Club Championships to be held 12-18 July 2009 at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Horsley Park.
 
Each State/Territory has the opportunity to send six juniors (12 - U17 years) and six senior (17 - U25 years) riders in each of the Olympic Disciplines and five juniors and five seniors in Mounted Games.  Age groups will be based on the riders age as at 1st January 2009.
 
Nominations for the Tasmanian  long list for the Olympic Discplines is now open.  Riders will have the opportunity to update their performance record.   Please email Judy Pitt on  jlpitt@activ8.net.au with your details to register your interest.
Please include your club, your horse, the discipline you are interested in and your qualifications to date.
When we have an indication from riders, PCAT will call for nomination of Coaches, Managers and Chaperones.

There has been a change in required heights for Showjumping for Senior Riders.  The Max start height for the first event will now be 1.10m
Also the grade for the Senior Eventing will now be Pony Club Grade 1.

Eligibilty Criteria:
Dressage                    Juniors - Novice level 
                                     Seniors - Elementary level

Eventing                      Juniors -  Pony Club Grade 1  
                                     Seniors - Pony Club Grade 1

Showjumping              Juniors - Max start height of first event 1.05m 
                                     Seniors - Max start height of first event 1.10m

 

Mounted Games        Junior and Senior teams will be selected on Anzac Day 2009.
